The Security Company wins IoIC Writing Award

The Security Company is delighted to announce that it has won the IoIC Writing Award for 2012. The honour was announced at the IoIC Central Regional Awards on March 1st, 2013 in recognition of the campaign work delivered for Colt Technology Services.

Entitled, "Diary of an Identity Theft Victim" the work was designed to engage Colt's employees in an effort to curb the high level of trust they were investing in electronic communications, regardless of the potential risks.

The Diary was created with three objectives in mind, namely:

  • To tackle 'false trust' among Colt employees
  • To make employees aware of the proliferation of bogus electronic communications
  • To encourage employees to think before they click

The Security Company was able to report an increase of 236% of unique user visits to Colt's security portal with 84% of recipients opening the diary entries as a result of the project.

Martin Smith, Chairman and Founder of The Security Company has nothing but praise for the achievement. "This award endorses the creativity and expertise that the team holds. It also reinforces our passion for producing awareness campaigns that demonstrate clear results for our clients. An engaging security awareness programme that unites the entire workforce is vital for the protection of an organisation and its assets".
